The Ajax MotionProtect Outdoor 38197.33.WH1 is a professional wireless outdoor motion detector designed to provide reliable perimeter protection while intelligently filtering common causes of false alarms. With dual PIR sensors, adjustable detection distance, anti-masking protection, and pet immunity, it is ideal for protecting gardens, driveways, entrances, yards, and other outdoor areas.
MotionProtect Outdoor uses two PIR sensors to analyse movement. When the alarm system is armed, both sensors must detect matching motion before an alarm is transmitted, helping the detector distinguish genuine intrusion from environmental movement.
The detection range can be adjusted from 3 to 15 metres, allowing coverage to be tailored to the installation area. Intelligent filtering helps the detector ignore animals, birds, insects, moving plants, and other common outdoor disturbances.
Communication with the Ajax hub is handled through the protected Jeweller radio protocol, providing two-way wireless communication at distances of up to 1,700 metres in open space. Alarm signals can be delivered to the hub in as little as 0.15 seconds for rapid security response.
Integrated anti-masking technology detects attempts to obstruct or interfere with the detector's field of view, while anti-tamper protection provides additional security against physical interference.
Designed specifically for outdoor environments, MotionProtect Outdoor carries an IP55 protection rating and operates in temperatures ranging from approximately -25°C to +60°C. It can operate using the pre-installed batteries for up to 5 years, depending on settings and usage, or be connected to a compatible external power supply.
